Vangi Bhath

Ingredients:

2 Cup Rice
5 Brinjals (Small)
6 tsp Tamarind Paste
Salt to Taste

Masala:
2 tsp Black Gram
2 tsp Bengal Gram
1 tsp Chilly Powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Cummin Seeds
1/4 tsp Coriander Seeds
Asafoetida

Method:

Cook rice, roast the masala ingredients and powder coarsely. Wash and cut brinjals into halves. Heat the pan add some oil and add brinjal, powdered spices, fry well. Add tamarind extract and salt and simmer till cooked. Add the curry to the rice. Mix well and serve hot.
