Ingredients:
1/2kg Snake gourd (tender)
50gm Onion
200gm Potatoes
4 Green chillies
a small piece Ginger
a pinch Turmeric
a pinch Mustard seeds or Fenigreek seeds
to taste Salt
1/2 Lime
4 tsp Bengal gram flour
600ml Water
Oil to fry
Methods:
Wash and steam gourd whole or cut into half,until half cooked. 2, Cut into 5 cm(2) pieces. Remove seeds. Apply salt and set aside. 3, Boil popatoes peel and dice. 4, Chop onion green chillies and ginger. 5, Heat a little oil. Add mustard seeds, when they crackle add chillies, onion, ginger, turmeric, potatoes and salt. Mix well. 6, Add lime juice. Mix again and remove.7, Stuff gourd with potato stuffing. 8, Prepare a batter with gram flour, salt and water. 9,Dip gourd in batter and deep fry in hot oil.
