Ingredients:
400 gms Seeraga Samba Rice
200 gms Split Green Gram
2 Big Onions
1/2 tsp Turmeric
5 Cloves
1 Cinnamom
50 gms Ghee
Salt to Taste
Method:
Wash and soak gram for half an hour. Wash and soak rice for half an hour. Heat ghee, add sliced onion, spices and rice, dal, salt, turmeric and double the amount of water. Stir and cover the vessel. Cook gently till rice is tender, and kitchdi is soft. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves as desired.
